Well let's see - a busy week but not too much excitement.

Work was quite busy. Lots of requests for information and things. We've gotten "help" from a state specialist who has been assigned to our office over the course of the past few months. Unfortunately, he needs a lot of support and assistance and monitoring so it's not a good situation. I simply don't have the time and the larger office in Darlington (his other work area) is better staffed (just more people) to help him with his needs. We'll see how this all works out. It's certainly not that we don't need the help, it's really more a matter of getting the right help. Oh well.

Class continues to go well and it's improved actually. I'm much better at writing and researching than I am at straight math calculations so this second part of the class is going better. The professor has become more understanding (and absent minded as he posted this weeks quiz and the answers to it on his coursework page!) . Bonus!

News from Christi and her adventures in Ireland are on her blog page. Sounds like she's gotten busy and more involved. So now she's happier (I think and hope).

Matt continues to prepare for his interviews. Hopefully he'll have something lined up soon so when he graduates in May he'll be all set.

Saw Dad and Gloria Friday night. Gloria was off work (the woodcrafting business apparently didn't have enough wood to have the workers come in - sounds like a problem!). Anway, we went out to the St. Joe's (Dodgeville) monthly (usually second Friday of the month Oct-May) fish fry. During the non-lent months they also have chicken. It's served family style and is quite nice with fish, chicken, baked potatoes, french fries, green beans, coleslaw, bread, and other goodies. Dessert was a nice angel food/strawberry dish. Nice. I really enjoyed going out with them. It was fun.

Saturday was a day in Madison with Matt. Lunch was at Olive Garden. We're trying to go to different places and try new things. It was a nice lunch - I could've just had the soup and breadsticks and been fine. As it was I had a nice broccoli/chicken that lasted for another 2 meals. After that, we went to Aldi's where Matt got a dozen roses (Valentines day is Tuesday after all) for about $7. Then we were off to Wal-Mart (got a double size flannel sheet set for $7.50 on clearance). Then Woodman's for a few groceries (I picked up some fresh veggies and other things - much cheaper than Dick's) and car gas (Woodman's station has the most reasonable priced). Then as it was starting to snow, I dropped him off and went towards home.

Oh I did pick up "Wallace and Grommit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit". I generally don't purchase new movies but that one is such fun and there are so many jokes a person doesn't pick up on first viewing that I saw it as a good purchase. I've already watched it twice.

Another purchase this week was a toy for the Buddy cat (about $8). It's a 12" circle with the inner circle being a scratching area that has corrugated cardboard wound around and in it. The outer circle contains a small plastic ball that can be chased around. Buddy does it with his paw but Daisy tends to do it with her nose. I think they've both enjoyed playing with it. However, Buddy was playing with the ball toy part and woke me up at about midnight. I may have to put it away at night. It may be safer that way! :)
